RFP - Dumpster

The Town of Dauphin Island requests proposals for a one (1) year contract, with the option, upon mutual agreement of both parties, to extend the agreement for two (2) additional one (1) year terms, to provide and service two (2) 40 CY construction short-side dumpsters for the disposal of non-gaseous waste, white goods, municipal solid waste, and vegetative debris only.

Pricing

A proposed monthly flat rate, including an estimated weekly disposal cost. Contractors shall also provide a flat-rate cost per load for any additional dumps requested by the Town.

Service Requirements

Each dumpster shall be emptied and returned every Thursday between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. CST for the term of the contract. Service falling on a recognized holiday shall be performed on the following Friday. Additional dumps may be requested by the Town on an as-needed basis with a minimum twenty-four (24) hour notice. Contractor shall provide evidence that a permitted landfill will be used for disposal of all collected materials. ALL DUMPS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE A DUMP TICKET PRIOR TO GETTING PAID BY THE TOWN OF DAUPHIN ISLAND.

Dumpsters shall be maintained in good condition and free of excessive rust, holes, or other defects that create safety hazards or allow debris to escape. Any debris spilled during servicing shall be removed by the contractor at no additional cost.

Licensing and Insurance

Prior to contract execution, the successful contractor shall provide proof of a current Town of Dauphin Island business license and any other licenses required by Mobile County or the State of Alabama.

The contractor shall provide proof of insurance with limits of not less than **$500,000** general liability coverage and workers' compensation coverage as required by law.

Submission

Proposals shall be submitted in a **sealed envelope** clearly marked: "2027 DAUPHIN ISLAND 40 CY DUMPSTER PROPOSAL" and shall include the contractor's name, address, and telephone number.

Proposals will be accepted until **12:00 pm (CST) on November 16th, 2026** and publicly opened at Town Hall at 12:15 pm (CST). Proposals shall be **mailed or hand-delivered** to: Town Clerk Town of Dauphin Island 1011 Bienville Boulevard Dauphin Island, AL 36528

Vendors/Contractors must be in compliance with the Alabama Illegal Immigration Act. www.E-Verify.gov.
