The City of Phoenix Fire Department (City) requires Forcible Entry Door Training Systems (Training Systems) for firefighter training purposes. These Training Systems shall simulate residential and commercial doors commonly encountered by firefighters during emergency response operations, enabling personnel to safely practice forcible entry and breaching techniques. The Training Systems will be utilized during firefighter recruit training and throughout a firefighter's career to maintain and enhance forcible entry skills, operational readiness, and proficiency.

Scope

  • Provide a complete forcible entry door training system, including all door and door frame components necessary to realistically simulate forcible entry operations. The system shall include interchangeable or configurable door/frame assemblies capable of replicating common door types and configurations, including at minimum, wood, glass, metal, overhead, and inward/outward, and left/right swing.
  • Each Training System must be complete (including parts and material) and ready to function directly from vendor.
  • Must include resistance settings (e.g., hinge pulling, thru-the-lock, ramming) and multiple prying, forcing and striking capabilities.
  • Training Systems must be standalone and must be movable.
  • Must accommodate the use of multiple prying tools, including at minimum, Halligan tools, flat head axe and hydraulic rams.
  • Must be durable and provide repeated and realistic training.
  • Must include clear safety warnings and operational limits to prevent injury or damage to property.
  • Upon request, Contractor will provide related tools, parts, and accessories that support the Training System, including but not limited to Crush Zones, Real Locks, Hinges and Panic Bars.

Delivery

  • Training Systems must ship and be received fully assembled unless otherwise requested by the City.
  • Contractor will provide operating instructions with each Training System delivered, if requested by the City.

Support, Maintenance, and Repair Services

  • Contractor will provide technical support through phone and email for troubleshooting, maintenance and performance adjustments.
  • All replacement parts must be Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) unless agreed upon by Ordering Department before repair work commences. Replacement parts must have a minimum 30-day warranty.
  • Contractor will provide a 14 to 21-day turnaround for normal repairs and service of training systems.
