Playground Equipment, Site Furniture, Amenities, and Related Services

The City of Buckeye, Arizona (the “City”), through its Community Services Department, Parks Division, is looking to establish multiple contracts for playground equipment, site furniture, amenities, and related services.

This Request for Proposals (RFP) is looking to identify qualified contractors that can provide playground equipment, park amenities, recreation equipment, site furnishings, safety surfacing, shade structures, fencing, signage and related products, parts, and equipment, along with installation, maintenance, inspection, and related services. While the RFP is being issued on behalf of our Parks Division, it is anticipated that the categories identified in Section 3 will be utilized throughout the City of Buckeye.

It is expected that proposers will select one or multiple categories to submit to where they are able to provide the primary products, equipment, parts, and services identified. It is not expected for a proposer to offer everything in the identified category they are submitting to, and proposers are also not limited to providing information on just the identified items in each category. Proposers may include related goods and services for each category they submit to.

• Category 1 – Playground Equipment and Related Services: playground equipment; playground/park safety surfacing/materials; installation services; repair services; replacement parts; maintenance and inspection services.
• Category 2 – Outdoor Site Furniture, Amenities, and Related Services: benches and seating; picnic tables; bike racks; drinking fountains; water bottle fillers; waste receptacles; game tables; sensory, musical, and interactive play equipment; dog park solutions; installation, repair, replacement parts, maintenance and inspection services.
• Category 3 – Fencing, Gates, Bollards, and Related Services: fencing – various types; gates – various types; bollards; installation, repair, replacement parts, maintenance and inspection services.
• Category 4 – Shade Structures, Canopies, and Related Services: shade structures; canopies; ramadas; picnic shelters; installation, repair, replacement parts, maintenance and inspection services.
• Category 5 – Signage and Related Services: signage; installation services.
• Category 6 – Splash Pads and Related Equipment/Services: splash pads (inclusive of all equipment, plumbing, pumps filtration, concrete, drainage, etc.); installation, repair, replacement parts, maintenance and inspection services.

Maintenance and Inspection Services

Related services may include routine safety and preventive maintenance and inspection. The City may request emergency response and warranty support. Contractors may be required to document deficiencies and provide recommendations for corrective action.

Product and Service Requirements

Products shall be commercial grade or better and suitable for intensive public use. [...] All items proposed must comply with current applicable safety or regulatory standards or codes.

Permits

Where required for providing the identified goods and services, the contractor shall be responsible for any necessary licenses, permits, inspections, and approvals.

Warranty and Product Support

The contractor shall provide applicable service warranties and manufacturer warranties for products and/or services supplied and shall assist the City with warranty claims and manufacturer communications.

Companies interested in this project should submit a Proposal **electronically** by **November 24, 2026, 3:00 PM Local Time** via the City’s Procurement Portal. Submittals must be received by the specified time. The intent of the City is to select up to five (5) contractors per category whose proposals are determined to be the most advantageous to the City based on the evaluation factors set forth in this Request for Proposals.

After a ranking of submittals, the City will offer the highest ranked contractor(s) a thirty (30) day exclusive negotiation period.

Prices. All pricing and/or discounts shall be firm for the term of the contract.
