PURCHASE OF BAND UNIFORMS

Fontana Unified School District is inviting bids from qualified individuals, firms, partnerships, corporations, associations, or professional organizations for quotes to provide Band Uniforms to FUSD.

The District intends to purchase marching band uniforms, apparel, and accessories as identified on the Bid Form. Quantities listed on the Bid Form are estimates and are provided solely for proposal evaluation purposes.

Band uniforms, apparel, and accessories shall be constructed of high-quality materials and workmanship suitable for outdoor performances, parades, competitions, transportation, storage, and repeated student use. Products offered shall be designed and manufactured with durability consistent with an anticipated service life of approximately ten (10) years under normal school district use and maintenance practices.

Custom design services shall be included when applicable. Each school may have a unique color scheme, style, logos, embellishments, and design elements. Design renderings shall be submitted for District review and approval prior to production.

The awarded vendor shall conduct on-site measuring and fitting services for all students requiring uniforms. Reasonable alterations necessary to achieve proper fit shall be included.

Items may include uniform coats and jackets, bib pants, capes, headwear (shakos), plumes, gloves, gauntlets, garment bags, drum major apparel, color guard apparel, majorette apparel, custom logos, lettering, imprints, and related accessories identified on the Bid Form.

All uniforms, apparel, and accessories shall be delivered within one hundred thirty (130) calendar days following issuance of the Purchase Order unless otherwise approved in writing by the District.

The vendor shall provide a written warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship, including manufacturing defects, stitching failures, zipper failures, defective embroidery, and defective embellishments. The warranty period shall be not less than five (5) years from final acceptance.

Prior to production, the awarded vendor shall provide design renderings, fabric samples, color samples, and trim samples for District review. Production shall not begin until written approval has been issued by the District.

**Submission:** Each bid must be submitted through the Procurement Portal at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/fusd by the time prescribed in the bid. No proposals submitted by email, fax, or mail will be accepted.

**Bid security:** Bid bond/security is not required for this solicitation.

A signed Non-collusion Declaration must be uploaded in OpenGov. Bids received without a signed Non-collusion Declaration cannot be accepted.

**Award:** The District reserves the right to award this contract to multiple proposers, individual line item, group of items or all items, and to make an award either in whole or in part, whichever is deemed in the best interest of the District.

**Insurance:** General Aggregate $2,000,000; Each Occurrence $1,000,000; Umbrella (excess) liability insurance coverage with a limit of $3,000,000, unless waived by the District; Business Automobile Liability not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence.

**Term:** The initial contract period will be effective through June 30, 2027, in accordance with Education Code Section 17596. Unit prices shall be held firm through June 30, 2027.

No bidder may withdraw a bid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the date set for the bid opening.
