PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT FOR Existing McClure Demolition & Beautification-RFP-27-068

Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) requests proposals for the subject project and has issued a Competitive Solicitation to obtain competitive responses from qualified firms consistent with the requirements outlined in the Solicitation Document.

This Competitive Solicitation is being issued by FSDB to obtain competitive responses from qualified firms (hereinafter referred to as Respondents or Vendors), consistent with the requirements outlined in this solicitation, to perform abatement and demolition of the existing building, repair and restore both ends of the covered walkway, site restoration, hardscaping and landscaping of existing McClure Center, building #22, on FSDB campus.

This Competitive Solicitation is being issued by FSDB to obtain competitive responses from qualified firms (hereinafter referred to as Respondents or Vendors), consistent with the requirements outlined in this solicitation, to perform abatement and demolition of the existing building, repair and restore both ends of the covered walkway, site restoration, hardscaping and landscaping of existing McClure Center, building #22, on FSDB campus.

Pre-bid qualification response due:** **December 8, 2026, no later than 12:45PM.

Firm(s) must be properly licensed in the State of Florida at the time of submittal.

A **bid bond** or equivalent security is **required** in order to submit a reply to this solicitation. The bidder must provide a good faith deposit in the amount of **5%** of the bid by way of a bid bond from a surety insurer authorized to do business in this State as surety or one of these means: a certified check, cashier’s check, treasurer’s check, or bank draft of any national or state bank, accompanying the bid (§60D-5.004, F.A.C.).

A payment and performance bond is **required** for this contract. The selected Vendor is required to submit a letter of intent to provide a **100%** payment and performance bond within seven (7) working days AFTER being notified as the most qualified bidder for the project.

Oral Presentations will be required as part of the evaluation process for this solicitation.

By submitting a reply, each Vendor agrees that its reply shall remain a valid offer for at least 60 days after the reply opening date.
