Coke Building Warehouse Fence Project

Sealed Bids will be received by Lee County, North Carolina until Friday, November 20, 2026, at 2:00PM, at which time submitted bids will be opened and publicly read for the construction of “Coke Building / Warehouse Fence Project”.

Bids shall be for the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete this fence installation project as detailed within the supplied contract documents.

Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, transportation, tests and supervision required to complete in a workmanlike manner the work described in the Engineered Stamped Drawings (“Drawings”), which were submitted with Contractor’s bid.

**Alternate Bid 01** is for using 8’ (H) Black Decorative Metal Picket Fence with Sliding Gate in lieu of 6’ (H) Black Chain Link Security Fence.

The time for completion of the work (Contract Time) shall be sixty (60) calendar days.

**Submission method:** The completed Bid shall be enclosed in an opaque sealed envelope, clearly marked with the Project Title, Project Bid Number (4850-01-27), and Bidder's name/address on the outside. Two (2) complete bid packages must be submitted. If only one (1) bid package is submitted, the bid will be rejected. Digital submissions will not be accepted.

Bids shall be presented on the *Bid Form* furnished within these Project Documents (only). Any bids received on substitute forms will be rejected.

Each Bidder shall be appropriately licensed in the State of North Carolina as provided in General Statutes Chapter 87.

The award of the Contract, if it is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible Bidder (Successful Bidder) whose qualifications indicate the award will be in the best interest of the Owner and whose proposal complies with all the prescribed requirements.

This contract will be awarded on a Lump Sum basis.

Liquidated Damages for failure to substantially complete the project within the contract time may be issued at the rate of **$1,000 per calendar day**.

The Bid shall remain subject to acceptance and not withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening.
