Piney Fork Sewage Treatment Plant Roof Replacement

This project involves removal and replacement of existing roof systems with new TPO membrane system at two buildings at the Piney Fork Sewage Treatment Plant site in Bethel Park, PA. The anticipated Commencement of Work is Fall 2026.

THE PROJECT INCLUDES TWO ROOF REPLACEMENTS. BUILDING A CONSISTS OF AN EXISTING BALLASTED ROOF SYSTEM, WHICH SHALL BE REMOVED DOWN TO DECK. BUILDING B CONSISTS OF AN EXISTING MEMBRANE ROOF, WHICH SHALL BE REMOVED DOWN TO DECK. BOTH BUILDINGS SHALL HAVE REPLACEMENT ROOFS CONSISTING OF NEW TPO ROOFING SYSTEMS PER DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS.

This project involves removal and replacement of existing roof systems with new TPO membrane system at two buildings at the Piney Fork Sewage Treatment Plant site in Bethel Park, PA. Any and all mobilization, General Condition requirements, dust control, pedestrian and vehicular traffic control, notifications, temporary facilities, temporary relocation of mechanical, plumbing and electrical items, safety equipment, site photography, project management, and restoration of disturbed areas shall be considered incidental to this project.

• Building A: approximately 1900SF; existing ballasted roof system to be removed down to deck.
• Building B: approximately 1400SF; existing membrane roof to be removed down to deck.
• Existing walkway pavers to be removed and replaced with new adhered and heat welded TPO walkpads.
• Existing coping to be replaced and exterior wall parapet to be extended, typical full perimeter.
• Roof drain clamp and strainer to be replaced.
• Basis of design: Johns Manville gray TPO.
• Add Alternate No. 1: pipe rail system of 1-1/2" dia. passivated stainless steel pipe posts and rails.

**Submission:** All proposals must be submitted electronically via PennBid on or before Wednesday, November 18, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. prevailing time. No hard copy Bids will be accepted.

Pennsylvania Prevailing Wages must be paid on this Contract.

Proposals must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond from a Surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of the Municipality of Bethel Park in an amount equal to ten (10%) percent of the total amount of the Proposal. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workman's Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreement.

Proposals shall remain firm for a period of sixty (60) days. The Municipality retains the right to award Contracts to the lowest responsive, qualified, and responsible Bidders and reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals.
