ANNUAL CONTRACT FOR CARBON STEEL PIPE AND ACCESSORIES FOR PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT Follow Solicitation

The City of San Antonio is soliciting bids for purchase and delivery of Carbon Steel Pipe and Accessory parts as specified herein. These items are utilized for maintenance and repair of City highways, streets and bridges.

Specifications

All materials furnished under this specification shall meet all requirements of Item 509 – Metal Beam Guardrail, June 2008 City of San Antonio Standard Specifications for Construction.

• Carbon Steel Standard Black Pipe to meet ASTM A53 PE Specifications
• Carbon Steel Black Pipe to be 21 FT in length; NON threaded ends; Schedule 40
• Carbon Steel Elbows and Tee's to meet ASTM A53 PE Specifications, NON threaded, Schedule 40, long radius
• No alternate ASTM's will be accepted, ASTM A53 Specifications must be met.

Delivery

Vendor shall provide inside delivery of items to the address specified on Purchase Order within 21 calendar days of issuance of City purchase order. Deliveries are accepted from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday except City holidays.

Bids submission will only be accepted electronically through City's SAePS Portal.** Submit one bid electronically by the due date provided on the Cover Page. All times stated herein are Central Time. Any bid or modification received after the time and date stated on the Cover Page shall be rejected. **Bids sent to City by mail, facsimile or email shall be rejected.

Per Section §252.043 of the Texas Local Government Code, the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. [...] City reserves the right to make an award on the basis of low line item, low total line items, or in any other combination that serves the best interest of City, unless City designates this solicitation as an "all or none" bid in the Supplemental Terms & Conditions.

This contract shall terminate on December 31, 2029. [...] At City's option, this Contract may be renewed under the same terms and conditions for two (2) additional one (1) year period(s).

Bids will be publicly read aloud online through WebEx at 2:30 p.m. Central Time on the day the bids are due.

No later than 30 days before the purchase and delivery of goods/ commencement of services under this IFB, CONTRACTOR must provide a completed Certificate(s) of Insurance to CITY's Public Works Department.
