Traffic Signal Detection Upgrades (CSJ: 0912-37-267) Follow Solicitation

Traffic Signal Detection Equipment to be utilized by Montgomery County, Texas. This project is federally funded by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Texas Department of Transportation Advanced Funding Agreement CSJ: 0912-37-267.

The communications infrastructure shown in these plans is intended to support future Montgomery County network integration. Except where specifically shown on the plans, installation of signal equipment, network electronics, fiber splicing, system integration, network configuration, and communications activation shall be performed by Montgomery County.

• All equipment utilized for the traffic signal installation must conform to, and be installed in accordance with, Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) standards and specifications.
• The contractor shall follow manufacturer specifications for the detection system installation.
• Work in the controller cabinet shall include installing the equipment and performing the work necessary to connect and operate the detection system at the intersections.
• Communication and power to the detection devices shall be via continuous cable run of up to 1000 feet with the use of repeaters.
• Final placement of detection devices to be approved by engineer.
• Coordinate cabinet replacement with Montgomery County Signal Operations to minimize disruption to traffic signal service.

Vendors must submit responses in accordance with requirements stated on cover of document.

Vendor must submit *1295 form* with Bid/Proposal. Detailed information regarding 1295 can be found under item 39 in the attached Terms and Conditions.
