Sunshine Mimosa & Frogfruit Native Plug Tray Supply

The City of Tampa Water Department is seeking bids for the supply and delivery of native groundcover plant materials to support the department’s upcoming community plant giveaway event. The purchase includes 75 trays of 72‑cell Mimosa strigillosa (Sunshine Mimosa) and 75 trays of 72‑cell Phyla nodiflora (Frogfruit).

Quality Requirements

• All plugs must be suitable for successful establishment in Florida landscapes.
• Material should comply with standard nursery best practices for handling, sanitation, and packaging.
• Substitution of species or tray size is not permitted without prior written approval from the City.

Delivery Requirements

• Delivery location: City of Tampa Water Department, Tampa, FL (specific receiving address to be provided upon award).
• Delivery deadline: Must be delivered on **November 20, 2026**.
• Vendor is responsible for coordinating delivery, ensuring timely arrival, and protecting plant material from damage during transit.
• Plants must arrive hydrated and in good condition.

All quotes shall be submitted electronically through **OpenGov**. Offers by telegram, telephone, mail, e-mail, or fax are not acceptable, unless authorized by the City of Tampa Purchasing Department prior to the closing time and date. No quote may be withdrawn or modified after the time fixed for the opening of quotes.

Official award will be made by City of Tampa Purchase Order only.

Quote prices shall be good for a minimum of sixty (60) days unless otherwise specified in the Technical Specifications.

The City reserves the right to award this quote by division, line item, or aggregate total. To be considered lowest responsive, responsible bidder by aggregate, the bidder must quote on all items within the quote solicitation.

All vendors performing work on City property, regardless of the dollar amount, are required to submit proof of insurance prior to award.

All items shall be shipped Freight On Board (FOB) Destination. All shipping, handling, and freight charges shall be included in the quote.
