Exit 24 - Sanitary Sewer System Extension (SEID Grant)

Sealed bids for construction of the Exit 24 - Sanitary Sewer System Extension will be received until **December 1st, 2026 at 1:30 PM** at Twiggs County Courthouse, 425 Railroad Street, Jeffersonville, Georgia 31044, at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud.

This project will be funded in whole or in part with State Economic & Infrastructure Development (SEID) Grant funds from the Southeast Crescent Regional Commission (SCRC) and/or funds from the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority's (GEFA) Georgia Fund Program.

Work to be done shall include furnishing all products and equipment and performing all labor necessary to construct the following: +/- 770 LF of 10" PVC gravity sewer, +/-1748 LF of 4" force main, Lift station and all other items to complete, 16" Jack and Bore steel casing, installation of manholes, valves, fittings, and generator, clearing and grubbing, rock removal (if necessary), erosion control items, and all other appurtenances necessary to complete the project in accordance with the Technical Specifications and Construction Drawings. This project will be awarded in one (1) Contract.

Time allotted for completion of work is **270 consecutive calendar days**. All Work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications.

Sealed bids will be received at Twiggs County Courthouse, 425 Railroad Street, Jeffersonville, Georgia 31044. Any bid received after said time and date will not be considered by the Owner. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days except as specifically may be provided in the Instructions to Bidders and/or by State law.

Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier's check in an amount not less than **10%** of the base bid. Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to **100%** of the contract price shall be required of the successful bidder if contract is awarded.

The Contractor performing the work must provide proof of a valid license by the State of Georgia as a "Utility Contractor" and must also employ a "Utility Manager" certification holder who will have oversight of all utility work.

It is **mandatory** that the Bidder's Affidavit of Compliance with O.C.G.A. §13-10-91 be completed and submitted with the Bid.
