Walnut Grove ES, Central Gwinnett HS, Collins Hill HS & North Gwinnett HS - Roof Replacement

Sealed bids will be received from bidders by the Gwinnett County Board of Education at 53 Gwinnett Drive, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30046 in the Conference Room of Building "C" until **3:00 PM, November 12th, 2026** for construction of the following:

• Walnut Grove Elementary Re-Roofing (Bldg #2011), 75 Taylor Rd., Suwanee, Georgia 30024
• Central Gwinnett High Re-Roofing (Bldg #5041), 564 W. Crogan St., Lawrenceville, Georgia 30046
• Collins Hill High Re-Roofing (Bldg #5011), 50 Taylor Rd., Suwanee, Georgia 30024
• North Gwinnett High Re-Roofing (Bldg #5080), 20 Level Creek Rd. NW, Suwanee, Georgia 30024

Contract, if awarded, will be on a stipulated sum basis for the project listed above.

Time is of the essence. A written Notice to Proceed will be issued after the Pre-Construction Conference upon acceptance and approval of all Contracts, Bonds, Insurance, etc. Contractor shall mobilize within ten (10) days of the date of the written Notice to Proceed. The start date for the work will be **May 27, 2027**. All work outlined in the Contract Documents must be substantially complete by **July 23, 2027**.

The Owner will make payments to the successful Contractor upon receipt of Requests for Payment, approved by the Architect, as fully covered and shown in the Contract Documents.

Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Fax transmittals and emails of Bid Proposal Forms will not be accepted by the Owner. No proposal will be accepted after time is called.

Bid documents must be obtained only through the office of the Architect: Hussey Gay Bell, 3100 Breckinridge Boulevard, Building 300, Duluth, GA 30096, 770.923.1600. Approved bidders may obtain bidding documents electronically free of charge through the Architect.

No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after date of opening. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond payable to GWINNETT COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION, in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid, (certified checks are NOT acceptable). Performance Bond, and Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in amounts equal to 100% of the Contract Sum, will be required of the successful bidder.

While bidders are not required to be licensed General Contractors all bidders must be licensed in the State of Georgia and furnish to the Architect a completed Contract's Qualification Statement (*AIA Document A305*) to be evaluated by Owner and Architect prior to obtaining bidding documents. Bidders who do not submit the A305 Statement will be subject to disqualification.

The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.
