Refrigeration Services

This bid will utilize an “on-call contractor” on an “as needed” basis for an indefinite quantity contract to provide all necessary materials, labor, and equipment required to repair refrigeration-related equipment throughout the District. This service provides, but is not limited to, compressors, filters, seals, locks & coolants on equipment as follows: In addition, this bid will utilize the awarded contractor for Preventive Maintenance, which involves a structured schedule of cleaning, inspecting, and tuning components of refrigerated equipment district-wide.

Additionally, this service includes repair and installation of locks on refrigeration units, ice machines, reach-ins, table tops, and walk-ins, as well as installing and repairing flooring in walk-in Coolers and Freezers with Aluminum Diamond.

**Response Time:** After being contacted, the awarded contractor agrees to be on the site within three (3) to four (4) hours for emergencies and twenty-four (24) hours for non-emergencies, or as agreed upon with the Departmental Staff ordering these services.

All required bidding documents should be uploaded under the “Response Attachment Tab”. Bids received after the time stated will not be considered. Faxed or emailed responses will not be accepted.

**Contract Period/Terms:** A contract entered into as a result of an award by the District under this Solicitation must be available to begin providing goods and/or services starting on December 18, 2026, and ending on December 17, 2027, with four (4) additional renewal options if agreeable to both parties.

**Bonding:** A Payment Bond shall be required on individual projects of **$25,000.00** or more. A Performance Bond shall be required for projects of **$100,000.00** or more. Bonds will be due within 10 days after the Notice of Award is issued.

**Insurance:** Contractors shall obtain and maintain insurance (with the exception of Workers’ Compensation Insurance and Employer’s liability coverage) with the Waco ISD named as an additional insured for the time period in which they are actually performing work for the District.
