Automotive, Heavy-Duty Truck, and Equipment Glass Replacement and Chip Repairs

Notice is hereby given that Gila County is requesting bids from qualified firms for Automotive, Heavy-Duty Truck, and Equipment Glass Replacement and Chip Repairs.

It is the intent of this Invitation for Bids to establish one or more contracts with qualified, responsible Contractors for automotive, heavy-duty truck, and equipment glass replacement and chip repair services at Gila County General Services shops. To encourage participation from vendors of varying size and service capacity, including local and regional suppliers, the County has divided the solicitation into four independently awarded categories as described below. Bidders may submit a bid for one or more award categories.

**Globe Region - Globe General Services Shop:** 1001 W. Besich Blvd., Globe, AZ 85501

• Category 1A - Globe Automotive Glass Replacement and Chip Repair
• Category 1B - Globe Heavy-Duty Truck and Equipment Glass Replacement and Chip Repair

**Payson Region - Payson General Services Shop:** 5320 E. Hwy 260, Star Valley, AZ 85541

• Category 2A - Payson Automotive Glass Replacement and Chip Repair
• Category 2B - Payson Heavy-Duty Truck and Equipment Glass Replacement and Chip Repair

Contractor shall provide glass replacement and chip repair services, including all labor, parts, materials, and equipment necessary to perform the work, at the location(s) identified within the awarded category.

• Timely service: Contractor shall identify its proposed completion date in each job-specific quote. Unless a different schedule is approved by the County, Contractor shall complete accepted work within ten (10) business days after receiving the County's written authorization to proceed.
• Quality of glass shall be OEM glass on vehicles two (2) years old or less. OEM-quality (aftermarket-equivalent) glass may be used on older models but must be pre-approved by the General Services Division Manager.
• Shop technicians must follow Automotive Glass Replacement Safety Standard (AGRSS) requirements, where applicable to the vehicle or equipment serviced, in all aspects of the repair/replacement. AGRSS Certified Technician credentials are not required (see Article 17).
• Contractor shall calibrate Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) associated with the windshield and camera, if present in the vehicle, per AGRSS.

Contractor shall be responsible for the proper handling, containment, and disposal of broken glass and related waste materials generated in the course of performing the work, in accordance with the applicable federal, state, and local requirements.

Submission:** Bids may be submitted electronically through the Gila County Procurement Portal at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/gilacountyaz (preferred method) or as a hard copy. Bidders shall submit bids using only one method. **Faxed or emailed bids will not be accepted.

**Deadline for all submissions: Friday, December 4, 2026 at 3:00 pm.** Late bids shall not be considered.

The County intends to award a contract to every Bidder in each category whose bid is determined to be responsive and responsible, subject to approval by the Gila County Board of Supervisors. Award under this Section does not guarantee any Contractor a minimum volume of work.

Bidders are not required to submit certificates of insurance with their bid. Certificates of insurance meeting the requirements of Article 13 (Insurance Requirements) of the Contract Award Agreement will be required only from Bidders selected for award, and must be provided within ten (10) days after the date of the Notice of Intent to Award.
