Sealed bids will be received at the City of Douglas City Hall, 302 South Madison Ave., Douglas, Georgia, up to **November 17th, 2026, at 2:30 p.m.** The bids will be publicly opened and read at the City of Douglas Council Chambers for the purchase of the following:

The City of Douglas, Georgia, is soliciting sealed bids from qualified vendors for the purchase and delivery of two (2) reels of 795 Drake ACSR (Aluminum Conductor Steel-Reinforced) wire.

All materials shall comply with the specifications outlined below.

• Conductor Designation: 795 Drake ACSR
• Conductor Type: Aluminum Conductor Steel-Reinforced (ACSR)
• Quantity: Two (2) reels
• Length per Reel: 6,940 feet
• Total Length Required: 13,880 feet
• Stranding Configuration: 26/7 (26 aluminum strands and 7 steel strands)
• Ampacity: 907 amps
• Country of Manufacture: United States-manufactured wire preferred; approved equal products may be considered.
• Product Condition: New, unused wire.
• Reel Requirements: Each reel shall contain 6,940 continuous feet of wire, properly wound and secured for shipment and handling.
• Product Documentation: The bidder shall identify the manufacturer and provide applicable technical data sheets and specifications confirming compliance.
• Approved Equal: Any proposed equal must meet or exceed the specified requirements and receive approval from the City of Douglas before award.

Bidders shall provide a unit price per reel and the total price for both reels. Pricing shall include all applicable costs for the wire, reels, packaging, freight, shipping, and delivery to the designated City of Douglas location.

The bidder shall specify the estimated delivery lead time from receipt of the purchase order. Delivery lead time shall be stated in calendar days or weeks. Bidders shall disclose any anticipated delays, product availability limitations, or shipping restrictions that may affect delivery.

Delivery Location: City of Douglas Warehouse, 123 W. Cherry Street, Douglas, GA

All deliveries must be made during normal operating hours: 8:00 AM-12:00 PM or 1:00 PM-5:00 PM. No deliveries between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM. Successful bidder must coordinate delivery time and date with the City of Douglas.

**Sealed bids** must be mailed to the City Clerk's Office, Attn: City Clerk, City of Douglas, 302 South Madison Ave., Douglas, GA 31533. All bids shall be sealed in an envelope and plainly marked: FY27 City of Douglas 2 REELS of 795 DRAKE ACSR WIRE Bid# 66812-27-0007.

Please include three (3) copies of your bid in package.

All bids shall be submitted upon forms provided by the City of Douglas.

The City of Douglas reserves the right to accept the lowest, most acceptable bid and reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. No late bids will be accepted. The City of Douglas reserves the right to waive any technicalities or irregularities so that an award can be made in the best interest of the city.
