IWQ 141852, Purchase and Installation of HVAC Equipment at Various Department of Transportation

Gwinnett County is soliciting competitive quotes from qualified contractors for the Purchase and Installation of HVAC Equipment at Various Department of Transportation Locations for the Department of Support Services.

Gwinnett County, through the Department of Support Services, is seeking quotes for the purchase and installation of HVAC components in the multi-purpose rooms at four separate Gwinnett County Department of Transportation locations.

The awarded contractor is expected to substantially complete the work by **December 31, 2026**.

• DOT District 1 Maintenance Barn - 2922 Bart Johnson Rd., Buford, Ga. 30518
• DOT District 2 Maintenance Barn - 4181 Abbotts Bridge Rd., Duluth, Ga. 30097
• DOT District 3 Maintenance Barn - 425 Hoke O’Kelly Mill Rd., Loganville, Ga., 30052
• DOT District 5 Maintenance Barn - 4114 Arcadia Industrial Circle, Lilburn, Ga. 30047

The scope of work for this project includes, but is not limited to, the installation of HVAC mini splits in the existing restrooms and newly constructed multi-purpose rooms in each of the four DOT locations listed above. Each location will require installation of the following components:

• (1) Daikin 4MXM36AVJU9 or an approved equivalent; Ductless Mini-Split Systems 36K, 20 SEER2, Outdoor Heat Pump, Multi-Zone, 208/230V, R-32
• (1) Daikin FTXV24AVJU9 or an approved equivalent; Ductless Mini-Split Systems 24K, Indoor Wall Mounted Unit, Multi-Zone, 208/230V, R-32
• (1) Daikin FTXV09AVJU9 or an approved equivalent; Ductless Mini-Split Systems 9K, Indoor Wall Mounted Unit, Multi-Zone, 208/230V, R-32
• (1) Southwire 58225705 or an approved equivalent; Baro-Split Compact 600 Mini-Split Cable
• (2) Daikin BRC1NRV71 or an approved equivalent; R32 Navigation Remote Controller
• (1) Mueller Streamline 40620350B3B6 or an approved equivalent; Mini Split Refrigerant Line Set 1/4" LL, 3/8" SL, 35', Flared

The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the work as described in the Scope of Work, Specifications, and General Requirements. Work will be considered completed when the County Representative has determined that all requirements of the project scope have been met. [...] The contractor shall comply with all manufacturer recommendations and specifications. The contractor shall haul away all trash and debris collected in the scope of work.

The contractor shall warrant against any defects in labor and materials for a minimum of 1 year from completion of installation. The contractor shall respond to warranty calls within 48 hours and take immediate action to repair or replace defective or malfunctioning parts within 7 days of notice.

Quotes are legal and binding upon the bidder when submitted.

Award will be made to the contractor submitting the lowest responsive and responsible quote. Gwinnett County reserves the right to reject any or all quotes, to waive technicalities, and to make an award deemed in its best interest. Quotes may be split or awarded in entirety.

Successful awarded vendor will be required to meet insurance requirements. Insurance Company must be authorized to do business in Georgia by The Georgia Insurance Department [...] and must have an A.M. Best rating of A-7 or higher.
