Fiber Optic Construction and Related Services

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MARYLAND PURCHASING DIVISION REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL NO. P-10000553 FIBER OPTIC CONSTRUCTION AND RELATED SERVICES

The Contractor shall perform all services under this Contract in a manner that minimizes adverse environmental impacts and supports Baltimore County's sustainability objectives. The Contractor shall comply with all applicable Federal, State of Maryland, and local environmental laws, regulations, permits, and requirements applicable to the work performed under this Contract.

Offerors shall provide the following information as part of their proposal:

• A brief description of the Offeror's sustainability and environmental practices as they relate to fiber optic construction, emergency maintenance, locating, engineering, and related services.
• A description of the Offeror's approach to reducing construction waste and promoting the reuse, recycling, and responsible disposal of materials.
• A description of the Offeror's practices for minimizing environmental impacts associated with excavation, trenching, directional boring, aerial construction, vegetation management, and restoration activities.

All offers must be submitted electronically as specified in the General Conditions. Bid/Proposal times are either Eastern Standard Time or Eastern Daylight Time, whichever prevails. Late offers will not be considered.

Responses to Requests for Bids and Requests for Proposals shall be accompanied by an executed *Procurement Affidavit*, as provided by the Division of Purchasing Services.

All proposals submitted shall be valid for 180 days following the closing date noted, unless otherwise specified in the proposal documents.

Amendments to solicitations often occur prior to bid opening and sometimes within as little as 48 hours prior to bid opening. It is the potential vendor's responsibility to frequently visit the Procurement Portal at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/baltimorecountymd to obtain amendments.
