This Invitation for Bids (IFB) is issued to procure the goods or services, as specified in this Section 2, from a Contract between the successful Bidder and the State of Maryland ("State"): Janitorial services at Maryland Public Television (MPT) headquarters.

The goal of this solicitation is to establish a contract with a qualified Contractor to provide comprehensive janitorial services for the MPT headquarters facility in accordance with the requirements set forth in this IFB.
The square footage of the building is approximately 120,000. The cleanable square footage is approximately 80,000 square feet. There are 19 bathrooms in the building.

Hours When Work may be Performed
Daily tasks are to be provided between 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except on State Holidays. All routine floor care tasks (cleaning, buffing, and general floor shine restoration) are to be performed every Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
The Contractor shall provide an On-site Supervisor who will represent the Contractor in all matters concerning this Contract. The Contractor shall provide one (1) Daytime Porter to perform daily janitorial tasks between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday except State Holidays.
The Contractor shall provide a Floor Care Technician experienced in floor care/shine maintenance procedures and the operation of floor care equipment.
This is a performance-based Contract, therefore the Contractor shall provide the number of employees to successfully perform all the cleaning tasks (to include the daily, weekly, monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and upon request) of the Building in strict conformance with these specifications.

This is a Small Business Reserve Procurement for which the award will be limited to certified small businesses.
