What the bid is for

The Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) is seeking quotes to fabricate eight (8) custom exposed aggregate concrete pots made with decorative pea grit gravel for Jones Beach State Park. These pots will be used for plants and should include proper drainage.

Attachment 1, included with this RFQ, provides photos of the current pots for reference, as they include symmetrical decorative trim. Color of pots shall be closest to the current photos in Attachment 1.

Scope

General specifications of custom pots should include:

  • Pea grit gravel- 3/8” diameter
  • Inside of pot should be tapered as shown in Attachment 1
  • The internal casting surface of the pots must be smooth, free of unintended defects, pits or protrusions.
  • Drainage- located at the bottom, five (5) evenly spaced ½” diameter holes
  • Color- best match to current pots

To ensure the accuracy of the final product, include dimensional blueprints and color scheme with your bid. OPRHP will review the bid submission and will give final written approval to the awarded vendor.

Any changes to the dimensions, materials or design must be approved in writing by OPRHP. The Vendor is solely responsible for securely packing, crating, and bracing the pots to prevent structural damage during transit.

The Vendor shall not replicate, sell, or use the custom mold or its designs for any third party without explicit, written consent from OPRHP
