COLONIAL DRIVE BUILDING CONTROLS HVAC RENOVATION

Sealed proposals will be received from qualified bidders by Davidson County Purchasing Department in the Support Services Office, located at 925 North Main Street, Lexington, NC 27292 up to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read for the furnishing of labor, materials and equipment for HVAC Renovation on Colonial Drive building, 211 West Colonial Drive, Thomasville, NC 27292.

Proposals shall be received for a Single Prime contract for HVAC Renovation.

The Project includes the following as indicated on the drawings:

• Mechanical Contractor to act as General Contractor for this HVAC renovation project.
• HVAC Renovation Base Bid includes New Control System for existing System of FCU and AHUs.
• Note that Mechanical Contractor is required to subcontract a Licensed Electrical Contractor for all required Electrical Work.

Note: Replacement of the remaining Mechanical equipment (FCU, AHU, etc.) if indicated on Mechanical Drawings is work to be done in the Future and not part of this project.

**Submission:** Sealed proposals are received by Davidson County Purchasing Department in the Support Services Office, 925 North Main Street, Lexington, NC 27292.

After Monday, October 26th 2026, complete plans, specifications, and contract documents will be available for inspection on the Architect's office and their website at rbsarch.com under the "Bidding Projects" tab or in the following offices: RAMSAY BURGIN SMITH ARCHITECTS, INC., 225 N. Main Street, Suite 501, Salisbury, NC; DAVIDSON COUNTY PURCHASING DEPT, 925 North Main Street, Lexington, NC, DODGE PLAN ROOM, AGC PLAN ROOM; REEDS CONSTRUCTION DATA, METROLINA MINORITY CONTRACTORS RESOURCE CENTER, Charlotte, NC.

Plans and Specification may be viewed and downloaded without charge at the www.rbsarch.com website by clicking on "Bidding Projects". The cost of hard copies for one set of plans and specifications is $100.00, if requested, the cost is non-refundable.

All Contractors and Subcontractors **must** have all required construction licenses under North Carolina State laws governing their respective trades.

Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check [...] in an amount equal to not less than **5%** of the proposal. In lieu thereof, a bidder may offer a bid bond of 5% of the bid [...].

Bonds: Separate Performance and Payment Bond are **required**.

Payments will be made at ninety five percent (95%) of approved monthly applications until a maximum of two and one half percent (2.5%) total retainage is reached at 50% completion per N.C. G.S. 143-134.1 (b1) through (e). Final Certificates and payment will be issued upon acceptance of the work as complete.

No bid may be withdrawn after time set for receiving bids for a period of forty-five (45) days.

Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all proposals.
