Big Walnut Trunk South Rehabilitation

The City of Columbus, Division of Water Reclamation, is receiving proposals until 12/4/2026 at 1:00 PM Eastern Time for professional services for the CIP # 650725-100024 Big Walnut Trunk South Rehabilitation.

The project goal is to rehabilitate approximately 11,840 linear feet of large diameter trunk sewer ranging in size from 90” to 96” as part of previous investigations. The sewers to be evaluated for rehabilitation generally follow the Big Walnut Creek from manhole 0251S0345 just north of Interstate 70 to manhole 0145S0004 located adjacent to Interstate 270, just north of E. Williams Road. This project will assess the existing data and recommendations to determine which segments will move forward into detailed design as well as the preferred rehabilitation method(s). It is anticipated that two (2) construction contracts will be issued as part of the design effort.

The selected Consultant will attend a scope meeting anticipated to be on/about three weeks after proposals are due. If the Consultant’s Project Manager is not available for the scope meeting, the Consultant is to designate an alternate to attend in their place.

Proposals are to be submitted only through Bonfire at https://columbus.bonfirehub.com/login. Hard copies or emails will not be accepted.

Questions are to be submitted to DPUCapitalRFP@columbus.gov. No phone calls concerning questions about the RFP will be accepted. The last day to submit questions is 11/18/2026. Responses will be posted on Bonfire at https://columbus.bonfirehub.com/login as an addendum.

Notice of published addenda will be posted on the City’s Vendor Services website and the addenda will be posted on Bonfire at https://columbus.bonfirehub.com/login.

All proposal documents (Request for Proposal, reference documents, addenda, etc.) will be available for review and download on Bonfire at https://columbus.bonfirehub.com/login after the RFP is advertised. Firms must meet the mandatory requirements stated in the RFP for a proposal to be considered for contract award.

A debriefing session is available to all companies that unsuccessfully responded to this RFP. A request for a debriefing session must be submitted via email to DPUCapitalRFP@columbus.gov within thirty days of the contract award announcement.
