To set a firm price agreement for a One Ton 4x4 Pickup with Liftgate (Optional Snowplow and Spreader)- with firm pricing through December 31, 2027.

The City reserves the right to award one or more vendors. Vendors are not required to submit pricing for every line item. Purchase Orders may be issued throughout the contract term, and the City is not obligated to purchase any minimum quantity.

One new, current-production, one-ton, regular-cab, four-wheel-drive pickup with single rear wheels, minimum 8-ft pickup bed, liftgate, and amber warning lighting. Configure the vehicle to accommodate both separately priced snow-removal options.

Chassis and Powertrain

• Minimum 11,500-lb GVWR; factory ratings sufficient for all specified loads.
• Gasoline V8 producing at least 400 horsepower and 440 lb-ft of torque.
• Heavy-duty automatic transmission with tow/haul mode.
• Minimum 4.10:1 axle ratio with electronic locking rear differential.
• Factory snowplow preparation package.

Towing Equipment

• Factory heavy-duty trailer towing package; minimum 10,500-lb conventional towing capacity for the completed base vehicle.
• Seven-pin RV-style trailer connector and factory-integrated electric trailer brake controller.

Liftgate Included in Base Bid

• Electric-hydraulic rear liftgate rated for at least 1,000 lbs.
• Slip-resistant platform suitable for tools, supplies, and wheeled maintenance equipment.

Amber Warning Lighting Included in Base Bid

• One full-width, low-profile LED amber light bar mounted above the cab.
• Minimum four permanently mounted amber LED corner strobes: two front and two rear.

Option A Snowplow Separate Installed Price

• Minimum 8-ft-wide steel straight blade.
• Hydraulic lift and hydraulic power angle.
• Quick-attach mounting system.

Option B Salt Spreader Separate Installed Price

• Minimum 0.7-cubic-yard hopper suitable for bulk rock salt.
• Corrosion-resistant hopper with cover.
• Electric drive with cab-mounted material-feed and spinner controls.

The successful bidder coordinates the unit's transportation and insurance until delivery to the City of Dayton, Division of Fleet Management, 1010 Ottawa St. Dayton, OH 45402.

Submission

Submit one (1) signed original PDF of bid to **bids@daytonohio.gov** with IFB number in "Subject" line. All supplemental documentation shall be included with the original. **Electronic PDF bids must be received no later than 10:00 A.M. local (Dayton OH) time on November 20, 2026.**

BIDDER IS REQUESTED TO USE THE CITY'S BID FORM ENCLOSED AS NONE OTHER WILL BE ACCEPTED. We are not permitted to accept telephone bids or Fax bids.

All Vendors must submit a current copy of their W-9 with the Bid.

Requirements

• Bids will only be accepted from dealers located within the State of Ohio.
• Vehicles available from existing dealer inventory at the time of order ("on-the-lot" vehicles) must be delivered within ninety (90) calendar days after receipt of a purchase order.
• Vehicles ordered through a manufacturer's order bank must be delivered within one hundred twenty (120) to one hundred fifty (150) calendar days after receipt of a purchase order, subject to manufacturer production schedules.
• Warranty acceptance is subject to the approval of the Fleet Manager and will be a key factor in determining the lowest and best bid.
• Prices quoted will remain firm for acceptance within 90 calendar days after bid opening unless otherwise stated.
