Technical specifications for construction of Riverland Drive (S-53) Pedestrian Improvements & Central Park Road (S-67) Roadway Improvements, Water Relocations Project, Charleston County Utility Coordination Project.

Measurement & Payment bid items

• Bid Item 1: Bradham Sta 50+00 6-inch DIP water main horizontal and vertical offset
• Bid Item 2: Protective stone bedding
• Bid Item 3: Valve box adjustment
• Bid Item 4: Water meter box relocation and service line adjustment
• Bid Item 5: Record drawings and valve cards
• Bid Item 6: Mobilization (maximum 3% of bid items 1-5)
• Bid Item 7: Contingency

Contingency Cash Allowance shall be used at CWS's discretion for project overruns or changes in scope of work. Contingency shall not be used at BIDDER's discretion. Contingency shall only be used with written approval and authorization by CWS.

The normal time of work for this CONTRACT is limited to 40 hours per week and shall generally be between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and in conformance with any applicable permit requirements. No work shall be scheduled on weekends or on CWS holidays.

Contractor performing CWS utility work shall be an approved contractor per the Charleston Water System Approved Contractors List – For Large Projects (Greater than $100,000).

Contract time shall begin at which time the Owner will issue a written Notice to Proceed. The Contractor must commence construction within fourteen (14) calendar days of issuance of a written Notice to Proceed.
