Hybrid Battery Disposal

Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County, TX (METRO) Invitation for Bids (IFB) for Hybrid Battery Disposal, METRO IFB No. 2027000009. METRO anticipates awarding one or more firm fixed-price contract(s) as a result of this solicitation.

Submission

Sealed bids in original form for work or item(s) described herein will be submitted through METRO’s EUNA (Bonfire) at https://www.ridemetro.org/procurement and MUST be received by **2:00 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST) on Wednesday, December 2, 2026**. Additionally, ONE (1) ORIGINAL HARDCOPY: Deliver in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Bidder and the identification ‘Invitation for Bids’ No. 2027000009” to the METRO Procurement Office, 1900 Main Street, Houston, Texas 77002.

Both the electronic via EUNA (Bonfire) and hardcopy submittal MUST be received by the deadline specified in the solicitation. A submittal MAY be deemed non-responsive if both the electronic and hardcopy are not received by the deadline specified in this solicitation.

Evaluation

Award of a contract, if awarded, will be made to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest bid price and whose bid conforms to the solicitation documents. Bids will be evaluated on the basis of the two (2)-year total extended bid amount for all items as identified on the Bid/Contract Amount Items and Prices. Bidders must bid on all items to be considered for award. A split award will not be made.

Other requirements

• PERFORMANCE PERIOD: The period of performance under this Contract shall be for two (2) years, unless otherwise extended by METRO.
• AUDITED FINANCIALS: Two (2) years of audited financials are required for this solicitation.
• INSURANCE: Each prospective bidder is cautioned to review the Insurance requirements of this solicitation.
• This solicitation has a NA Small Business Participation goal.
