Purchase of Pneumatic Compactor

Tarrant County is requesting bids for the purchase of an eight (8) wheel pneumatic compactor.

Tarrant County intends to award to the lowest responsible bidder who meets or exceeds specifications based on price of the equipment including standard warranty and delivery costs.

Awarded vendor must provide equipment that meets or exceeds all Federal and State of Texas safety, health, lighting, and noise regulations. Offered equipment must meet this requirement at time of bid submission.

Awarded vendor must provide equipment that meets or exceeds all Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) emission requirements. Offered equipment must meet this requirement at time of bid submission.

Awarded vendor must not begin production of requested equipment before receiving a Tarrant County purchase order.

Bidders must be a full-service dealer capable of all service and repairs on offered equipment.

Delivery

• Awarded vendor must include all delivery costs in base cost of the equipment.
• Awarded vendor must deliver equipment fully assembled and ready to use.
• Awarded vendor must not delete any equipment that is included as standard by the equipment manufacturer from delivered equipment.
• Awarded vendor must provide an operator's manual for offered equipment at time of delivery. Tarrant County will accept a digital operator's manual.
• Awarded vendor must not include decals or advertisements on delivered equipment. The exception to this requirement are manufacturer standard markings.

• Compaction Width: 80 inches minimum and 82 inches maximum
• Inside Turning Radius: 245 inches maximum
• Ground Clearance: 11 inches minimum
• Engine: Horsepower: 130 minimum; Fuel Tank Capacity: 60 gallons minimum; Inline 4-cylinder turbo diesel; Liquid cooled; Volt: 12 or 24; Alternator: 80 amp minimum
• Drive System: 2 speed Hydrostatic Drive; Travel Speed: 12 mph minimum
• Tires: Computer controlled automatic tire inflation system; Tire Size: 13/80 R20

It is preferred that Bidders include standard warranty information with their bid submission. Tarrant County reserves the right to require that vendors provide this information before proceeding with award.

It is preferred that Bidders include extended warranty information with their bid submission. Extended warranty must be for 5 years / 3,000 hours at a minimum.

It is preferred that Bidders include a detailed specification sheet with their bid submission.

Minimum insurance requirements: Workers' Compensation statutory and Employer's Liability **$500,000**; Commercial General Liability **$1,000,000** per occurrence/**$2,000,000** aggregate; Auto Liability Combined Single Limit **$500,000** per occurrence.

You agree that the period for acceptance of this bid will be one hundred twenty (120) calendar days.
