IFB - Lampton Road Waterway Removal

The City of South Jordan is seeking an experienced and qualified contractor to perform a waterway removal located on Lampton Road. The work includes, but is not limited to the removal of existing concrete waterways, mobilization and demobilization, traffic control, construction surveying and staking, material testing and quality control, removal of existing concrete curb and gutter, pedestrian ramp, and existing storm drain pipes, saw-cut and removal of asphalt, installation of storm drain catch basin, installation of ADS HP storm drain pipe, installation of concrete curb and gutter, installation of ADA pedestrian ramp, installation of storm drain combo box and connecting to existing storm drain pipe and storm drain, installation of untreated base course and asphalt roadway, protection of existing and new manholes and readjusting rim elevation and concrete collar of existing and new manholes to new asphalt surface, and restoring landscape and irrigation to existing conditions.

Base Bid Schedule A:

The work to be performed for this schedule is located on Lampton Road, and generally includes, but it is not limited to the removal of existing concrete waterways; mobilization and demobilization; traffic control; construction surveying and staking; material testing and quality control; removal of existing concrete curb and gutter, storm drain pipes, and pedestrian ramp; saw-cutting and removing asphalt; installation of storm drain catch basin; installation of ADS HP storm drain pipe; installation of concrete curb and gutter; installation of ADA pedestrian ramp; installation of storm drain combo box and connecting to existing storm drain pipe and storm drain; installation of untreated base course and asphalt roadway; protection of existing and new manholes and readjusting rim elevation and concrete collar of existing and new manholes to new asphalt surface; restoring landscape and irrigation to existing conditions; all labor, supplies, tools, equipment, parts, rentals, fuels, utilities, subcontractors, suppliers, and all other costs including overhead and profit are to be included in bid line items.

General Conditions: as published in Document 00 72 00 in the Manual of Standard Specifications, 2017 Edition by the Utah Chapter of the American Public Works Association.

Submission

Bids will be received until the closing date and time listed on Bonfire, the State of Utah’s Procurement website. All bids shall be submitted online at Bonfire. It is the sole responsibility of the BIDDER to submit the Bid before the scheduled time.

Bid security

Bid security in the amount of five (5) percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to BIDDERS (Document 00200).

Basis of bids

Bids shall be on a unit price basis. Segregated Bids will not be accepted.

Contract time

The work must be substantially complete 45 days from notice to proceed. Anticipated date of Notice to Proceed: April 6th.

Bonds

CONTRACTOR shall file with the OWNER a good and sufficient performance Bond and a payment Bond, each in the sum of not less than 100 percent of the Contract Price.

Insurance

• Workers’ Compensation: Employer’s Liability limits of One Million Dollars ($1,000,000) per injury.
• Commercial General Liability: A minimum of Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000) combined single limit per occurrence, and not less than Four Million Dollars ($4,000,000) in the aggregate.
• Automobile Liability: A minimum limit of liability per occurrence of Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000) combined single limit.

Evaluation

If the Construction Contract is to be awarded, it will be awarded to the most responsive, qualified, and responsible Bidder as determined by the OWNER.
