UDOT IDIQ - Electrical Contractors for EVSE

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is seeking bids from qualified contractors to remove, replace, repair, or install electrical vehicle (EV) chargers and required charging infrastructure at sites throughout the state using federal or state funds designated for such purposes.

UDOT will manage the projects in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.

Electrical and Construction Services include:

• Removal, replacement or new installation of EV chargers, including concrete work, mounting hardware, and securing the charging stations according to manufacturer’s specifications and site requirements
• Ensuring proper electrical connections from distribution panel to EV charger, including installation of required wiring, breakers, and conduits
• Installation of new electrical panels and transformers, when required
• Conducting all required excavation and trenching, if necessary, for underground electrical lines
• Repair, restore or resurface impacted parking stalls and/or project site disturbed as a result of charger installation
• Restripe or paint EV parking stalls to denote EV charging and accessible charging stalls, if necessary.

Site Design and Engineering

• Provide project site engineering and design, as needed
• Conduct project site survey as required to conduct project design
• Apply for and receive required local and/or state permits

Contractor Requirements for Federally Funded Projects:

A contractor’s EO requirements are in the contract provisions referenced in the FHWA-1273 (included herein).

Submit form *PR-1391* in July and at other times when such information is required by the STA or the FHWA; and submit other documentation and reports as requested by the STA or the FHWA.
