Non-Ferrous Scrap Pickup

The University of Wisconsin Milwaukee is requesting bids for the pickup and processing of non-ferrous scrap materials. The resulting contract will be used by the UW Milwaukee Surplus department.

Metal scrap on the UWM campus is derived from used furniture, obsolete equipment, space reconfiguration, student projects, among other sources. UWM desires to recycle its metal scrap in a way that provides for timely and efficient pickups, as well as directing the scrap to recyclers for repurposing, minimizing environmental impact.

Scrap metal types include but may not be limited to:

• Sheet Iron (steel dumpster)
• Copper
• Brass
• Aluminum
• Stainless Steel
• Insulated Wire Types 1, 2, 3 (separate streams)
• Clean Lead
• Lead Acid Batteries
• Transformers
• Motors
• Electronic Light Ballasts
• Standard Light Ballasts – Non-PCB

**Submission method:** The University is accepting electronic responses via the Sourcing Module. Required materials must be received by the due date and time listed. Bids cannot be submitted once the event has closed in the Portal. [...] To respond to this event, bidders must have an online profile with JAGGAER. [...] All Bids MUST be submitted by **2:00 PM Central Time** on the stated due date. Late bids will not be accepted.

If a Bidder discovers any significant ambiguity, error, conflict, discrepancy, omissions, or other deficiency in this RFB, they have five (5) business days after the RFB issue date and time to notify the BUYER and request modification or clarification through the Sourcing Module.

The public bid opening will be held virtually on 3:00 pm CT DATE. During the session, only the names and prices of the bidders will be announced.

**Required** forms include the *Vendor Information Form*, the *Client Reference List*, form *DOA-3027* if applicable, and *Attachment A: Cost Sheet*.
