CM1530-33 Apron Reconstruction, Phase 1, Kahului airport

The scope of work consists of repairing deteriorated exterior concrete and concrete masonry unit surfaces of Holdroom F and Walkway EFF, as well as concrete repair for that respective adjacent area. The estimated cost of construction is between **$2,000,000.00** and **$3,000,000.00**.

The receiving of bids for APRON RECONSTRUCTION, PHASE 1, KAHULUI AIRPORT, KAHULUI, MAUI, HAWAII, STATE PROJECT NO. CM1530-33, will begin as of the HIePRO Release Date.

Quantities listed in damage schedule on S-002 and S-003 were determined at the time of investigation, April 2024. Contractor must verify all quantities and locations. Damage quantities have been increased by a factor of 1.25 for bidding and cost estimation purposes.

Bidders shall register and submit complete bids through HIePRO only. **HIePRO offer due date and time is November 16, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., Hawaii Standard Time (HST).** Proposals received after said due date and time shall not be considered. FAILURE TO UPLOAD THE PROPOSAL TO HIePRO SHALL BE GROUNDS FOR REJECTION.

To be eligible for award, bidders shall possess a valid State of Hawaii General Engineering "A" license at the time of bidding.

Bid security shall be in an amount equal to at least **five percent** of the base bid and additive alternates.

A site visit for Kahului Airport will be scheduled for **October 20, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., HST**. Prospective bidders must contact the airport representative to indicate they will be planning to attend the site visit and coordinate the meeting place.

Apprenticeship Preference. A five percent bid adjustment for bidders that are party to apprenticeship agreements pursuant to HRS § 103-55.6 is applicable to this project.

Compliance with HRS § 103B-3 is a requirement for this project whereby a minimum of 80 percent of the bidder's work force on this project shall consist of Hawaii residents.

Liquidated damages: **$150.00** per calendar day for failure to complete the work within the duration noted on Proposal Schedule page P-1.
