EXTENDED CARGO 1-TON TRANSIT VAN

County of Hawai'i is requesting bids for ONE (1) NEW EXTENDED CARGO 1-TON TRANSIT VAN, for the Department of PUBLIC WORKS / BUILDING.

The buyer is the Public Works Building Division.

Furnish and deliver ONE (1) NEW EXTENDED CARGO 1-TON TRANSIT VAN complete as specified, for the Department of PUBLIC WORKS / BUILDING.

The proposed vehicle shall be the latest model year, and the bidder shall indicate which production year shall be provided for the vehicle that is proposed. The proposed vehicle shall be new (not “demonstrators”), shall meet these detailed specifications, and shall meet the manufacturer’s catalog descriptions. [...] A CATALOG/BROCHURE SHALL ACCOMPANY THE SUBMITTED BID. The County will allow a maximum of 180 DAYS for the delivery of the vehicle; bids that indicate longer delivery schedules may be rejected.

One Ton Transit Wagon, Long Extended 2 passenger, V8 engine 16 valve flex fuel, w/Galvanize pipe rack 800lb capacity.

• Transmission: Minimum four (6) automatic with overdrive.
• Wheelbase: 138.5 inch minimum

• Rust Proofing: Zeibart or equal with written three (3) year or 36,000 miles guarantee.

Warranty

Each vehicle shall be covered by a minimum thirty-six (36) month bumper to bumper warranty.

Delivery

Delivery for the proposed vehicle, unless otherwise noted, shall be made to the Automotive Equipment Division, 630 East Lanikaula Street, Hilo, HI 96720. The proposed vehicle must be delivered with a FULL tank of fuel.

Submission

All offers shall be electronically submitted via the OpenGov Procurement System, in accordance with the requirements of this Solicitation. Offers transmitted via any other means other than as specified in the solicitation shall be deemed unacceptable and shall be rejected.

Sealed tenders will be received electronically on or before the due date of **Thursday, November 19, 2026**, not later than **2:30 pm** Hawai‘i Standard Time (HST) on the OpenGov Procurement System, and publicly opened at 2:30 pm in the Office of the Purchasing Division, Department of Finance, County of Hawai‘i, 25 Aupuni Street, Hilo, Hawai‘i.

Bonds and Insurance

An offer security deposit or bond is not required for this IFB.

No Insurance or Certificate is required for this IFB.

Licenses

The prospective Offeror shall possess the following license(s) to cover the type of work contemplated for this IFB: Licensed to convey and sell motor vehicles in accordance with all State and County laws and regulations.
