XQ6425185 MOD/INSTALL/RECON of Lighting in BA, CE, CO, DO, HA, KE, QA, SO, TA, WI, and WO Counties - Areawide

This project involves individual work assignments for the installation and modification of new or existing highway, intersection or pedestrian lighting on interstate, state and local roads.

Assignments may include the installation of lighting structures, control and distribution cabinets, manholes, handholes, concrete foundations and underground conduit raceways within Dorchester, Somerset, Wicomico, Worcester, Caroline, Cecil, Kent, Queen Anne’s, Talbot, Baltimore and Harford counties.

All locations for this contract will be identified after the project is awarded. Each task will indicate the scope, limit of work, the estimated quantities, and completion duration limits.

**ONLINE ELECTRONIC BIDS** will be received by State Highway Administration (SHA) at https://www.bidx.com/maryland/main until **12 Noon Eastern time** on the date specified for the Bid Opening, at which time they will be opened.

The bid documents are available only in electronic format. The documents are provided for viewing on the Bid Express website (https://www.bidx.com/maryland/main) for free. All bids must be submitted (electronically) at the Bid Express website above in proper form. **No paper bids will be accepted for this contract.**

In order to submit bids, bidders must: designate an individual to submit bids on behalf of the bidding entity, register with Bid Express, during registration select Maryland Department of Transportation as the referring Agency, have a paid subscription to Bid Express’ Internet Bidding Service, obtain an Info Tech Digital ID and request to bid in Maryland. Allow at least seven business days for approval and digital ID setup.

No bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than **$100,000.00**. However, bids **$100,000.00** and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the IFB. Bid Security shall equal at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of **$100,000.00**.

SHA reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids.
