Vendor Service Contract for Two (2) Waste Oil Burning Furnaces, for performance as contained herein.
This specification describes the furnishing and installation of two (2) identical, new Clean Burn CB-3500 waste oil burning furnaces, no substitutes allowed. The furnaces will be operated as unit heaters with no ductwork and will supplement the existing building heating system in Bay #4, an approximately 19,000-square-foot vehicle maintenance area. The operational objective is to help maintain Bay #4 at approximately 50°F during winter conditions while beneficially using eligible waste oil generated by Milwaukee Fire Department (MFD) fleet-maintenance operations.
The Vendor shall furnish and install a complete fuel-delivery piping system from the existing tanks in Bay #1 to both furnaces in Bay #4. The anticipated total piping run is approximately 150 linear feet; bidders shall field-verify the actual routing and quantity required.
The Vendor shall furnish and install two (2) complete manufacturer-approved and code-compliant venting systems. Each chimney shall terminate a minimum of three (3) feet above the roof, or higher if required by code or manufacturer instructions.
Furnace 1 shall be installed in Bay #4 on the east wall, facing south. Furnace 2 shall be installed in Bay #4 on the west wall, facing north.
The Vendor shall perform all manufacturer-required start-up and commissioning necessary to place both furnaces into safe, reliable, and fully operational service.
The Vendor shall provide on-site operational and basic maintenance training for two (2) City staff for approximately two (2) hours.
The Vendor shall provide the manufacturer's standard warranty for each furnace and all applicable components, together with a minimum one (1) year workmanship warranty beginning on the date of final City acceptance.
Delivery shall be completed within thirty (30) days of contract award unless otherwise approved in writing by the City.
