Cooling Tower Maintenance Services

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department has facilities requiring routine inspection, testing, cleaning, certification, service, corrective maintenance, chemical treatment, water quality management, and emergency services on cooling towers and associated equipment, including but not limited to cooling tower basins, fill media, drift eliminators, distribution systems, fans, motors, drives, heat exchangers, water treatment systems, and associated piping, valves, and controls.

Minimum frequency and tasks to be in accordance with all manufacturer specifications and recommendations, County tasks and duties, State, Federal, and Local laws, and regulatory requirements, including California Health and Safety Code Section 116057 (Cooling Tower Water Treatment) and all applicable guidelines from the California Department of Public Health.

**Submission method:** This is a fully electronic solicitation – only electronic bids submitted through the County’s online bidding system will be allowed; no other form of bid submittals will be accepted.

Bids must be received before **December 15, 2026 / 4:00 pm**.

This Contract shall commence upon execution of all necessary signatures and continue for three (3) calendar years from that date, unless otherwise terminated by County. This contract shall not be renewed unless otherwise approved by the County Board of Supervisors.

**Security clearance:** Clearance information is to be submitted online through the Sheriff's portal. Processing may take several weeks.

Insurance (required):

• Commercial General Liability: $1,000,000 per occurrence; $2,000,000 aggregate
• Automobile Liability: $1,000,000 combined Single Limit
• Workers' Compensation: Statutory
• Employers Liability Insurance: $1,000,000 per accident or disease
