Purchase of a New International HX520 SFA 6x4 Truck and Fontaine Specialized Magnitude 60LCC Trailer

Chatham County is soliciting bids to purchase a new International HX520 SFA 6x4 Truck and a new Fontaine Specialized Magnitude 60LCC Trailer. Equal bids may be submitted for the truck; however, no equal bids will be accepted for the trailer.

Both must be new and never titled. Both will be purchased as a turnkey project.

Manufacturer “Cut Sheets” or specifications are to be provided establishing the fact that the truck and trailer meet or exceeds these standards. Both must be new and never titled. Both will be purchased as a turnkey project. Bidders must have an authorized dealer or repair shop within 50 miles of Savannah, GA having parts, customer service, and field support capability. Bidders must provide pricing for the truck, and the trailer separately. Pricing shall include delivery, labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to accomplish the task.

Detailed specifications for the new International HX520 SFA 6x4 truck

• Paint: Cab- Winter White with clear coat base coat; Frame- black.
• Cab: Conventional day cab with a Set forward Axle. Multi-piece hood allowing fenders to be replaced, independent of hood. Hood shall be constructed of Metton material to reduce weight, and better resist star cracking (no fiberglass).
• Communications module telematics device with the over the air programming; includes 5-year data plan with access to My International APP and desktop for diagnosing fault codes.
• Full instrumentation must include tachometer, speedometer, oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltmeter, fuel gauge, and dual air pressure gauges.
• All aluminum cab construction with bonded and riveted joints required for corrosion resistance, cab joint integrity, low cost of repair, NO dissimilar metals to minimize galvanic corrosion.
• Air ride cab suspension is required to isolate cab and operators from harsh road conditions.

Sealed bids will be received online as instructed on the Chatham County Purchasing Portal at https://chathamcountyga.bonfirehub.com/portal. **Bids not submitted by the time and date specified will not be opened or considered.**

Bid award will be based on the lowest unit price and may be contingent on delivery timeframe. The County reserves the right to award in whole or in part based on lowest cost, earliest delivery, or a combination of both, whichever is deemed to be in its best interest. Bids will be accepted from vehicle dealerships only. No bids from vehicle brokers or re-sellers will be considered.

Bidders are to read and complete attachments A THROUGH I which are posted online in the required documents field. Bid prices, terms and conditions quoted will be firm for acceptance for a period of sixty (60) days from bid opening date, unless otherwise stated in the bid.

Minimum insurance limits: Commercial General Liability $1,000,000 per occurrence and annual aggregate; Workers' Compensation and Employer's Liability $500,000; Business Automobile Liability $1,000,000 combined single limit per accident.

Goals established for this project are 30% combined MBE/WBE unless otherwise specified.

Terms of contract: One-time Purchase. Standard warranty shall be offered with bid.
