What the bid is for

The Boone County Golf Courses are seeking a qualified vendor to design and install a GPS system in the golf cart fleet at the two Boone County Golf Courses. The golf courses are: Boone Links Golf and Event Center located at 19 Clubhouse Drive, Florence Kentucky 41042, and Lassing Pointe Golf Course located at 2266 Double Eagle Drive, Union Kentucky 41091. The GPS system is to include a touch screen on each cart as well as the management software installed for staff use.

Scope

Boone County Golf Courses is accepting proposals for a complete golf-cart GPS system for its gas-powered 2025 Yamaha Drive2 EFI Quiet Tech golf cart fleet at the following locations:

  • Boone Links Golf and Event Center
  • Lassing Pointe Golf Course

The current fleet lease with Cunningham Golf Car of Louisville, Kentucky, runs through December 2028. If the proposal term is for more than 2 years, the proposal must account for and include the removal of the GPS units in December 2028 and installation onto the new fleet.

  • Mounting: Center front of the underside of each golf cart roof.
  • Weather resistance: Suitable for continuous outdoor storage, including sub-zero temperatures, rain, sleet, snow, ice, and temperatures above 100°F.
  • Power source: Wired to draw power from the golf cart.
  • Operation: Power on and off with the cart ignition.
  • Battery protection: Must not draw power when not in use or drain the cart battery during extended periods of nonuse.

GPS Management Software

Per-unit pricing must include installation and staff training for the corresponding GPS management software on computers, tablets, and smartphones.

Warranty

GPS units and software must be fully warranted for the duration of the agreement, except for excessive damage caused by customers beyond normal wear.
