CENTRAL WAREHOUSE FREEZER UPGRADE (CONSTRUCTION)

The purpose of this Request for Bid is to solicit competitive bids from qualified contractors for phase one (1) commercial refrigeration services for Canyons School District (CSD). It is anticipated that this RFB may result in a contract awarded to a qualified contractor for commodities as defined further in the solicitation.

This RFB is designed to provide interested contractors with sufficient basic information to submit bids meeting minimum requirements, but is not intended to limit a bid's content or exclude any relevant or essential data.

• Contractor shall evaluate & dispose of all existing R409A refrigerants for systems indicated to be removed.
• All existing systems & related items indicated to be removed shall be removed & disposed of complete.
• It is the intent of this section of the specifications that all cold (below 55 deg. F) surfaces of all piping and mechanical system components be insulated, unless specifically excluded herein.
• Exposed refrigerant suction and liquid lines shall be covered with an aluminum all weather jacket.
• This project is intended to be phased in two segments based on budget.

Bids will be opened electronically within five (5) business days of the closing of the solicitation.

Each bidder shall submit only one bid. Alternate or multiple bids from a single supplier are prohibited. On any item where multiple bids are submitted, that item may be deemed non-responsive.

Bids will be evaluated for content, price, specification requirements, and availability.

All bid preparation costs and any associated activities related to this RFB are the sole responsibility of the contractor.
