CMPD Westover EV Charger Additions

Installation of Six New Dual Port, 80 amp, Level II EV Chargers and all required power distribution equipment as required to serve the chargers. The scope of work will include design for future chargers for a total of twelve (12) Level II Chargers. Provisions for future chargers will include space for future panel with conduit run to future chargers locations and capped off watertight. This scope also includes adding one 200 KW DC fast charger and required electrical service and equipment to feed this charger. All other equipment is existing to remain. Chargers are owner provided and contractor installed.

**Submission method:** Bids must be submitted electronically through the Procurement Portal (https://charlottenc.bonfirehub.com). All bid documents shall be submitted in accordance with article § 4.3 SUBMISSION OF BIDS of SECTION 00 20 00 – INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS.

**Bid due:** November 12, 2026, no later than 2:30 PM (LOCAL TIME). Bid opening is by Microsoft Team Meeting only.

A **5%** bid security is required with each bid that equals or exceeds **$300,000**. Bid security shall be submitted in accordance with article § 4.2 BID SECURITY of SECTION 00 20 00 – INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS.

The insurance requirements are listed in AIA Document A201-2017 – General Conditions of the Contract for Construction Article 11: Insurance and Bonds.

General contractors submitting bids on this project must have license classification for Building Contractor. Bidders must be properly licensed under North Carolina state law to perform the work.

This project contains Restricted Data as defined by the City of Charlotte. Bidders must complete and sign a *Confidentiality Agreement* and submit the form to the Contact person prior to being authorized to obtain the bidding documents from the Procurement Portal.

The estimated cost of this Project is $450,000 - $600,000.00

This project is subject to the requirements of the City's Charlotte Business INClusion (CBI) Program. SBE = 2%
